I would like to hear from others who use these products all the time. What is your favorite eye drop? Have you found one that lasts longer than others, or is more soothing? Has anyone found any source for ordering larger quantities of drops or ointment?
They are so expensive over the counter, and the tubes and containers are so small. I have had not luck finding larger ones.
Any comments on this subject really appreciated.

I have not found that any are really better than the others. I know that on my monthly Eyey Dr appointment I ask for samples and they load me up with enough to get through the month. All have a great coupon in each one for about 2 – 4 dollars off your next purchase. Once I find one I fell is better than the rest I will pipe in again.

But I am on steriod drops 3 times a day, and steroid shots into the eye once a month so that might have something to do with the not being able to tell any difference.

    Thank you, Jules!
My docs are not so generous! If I get two samples, I am lucky. BUt some of them sting, and I am looking for a drop with lubricant in it, if it exists. People in the EYE office don’t have a clue. Seems they would have heard/ learned something!
Steroid drops sound soothing, wish I needed them….

My eyedrops of choice is SYSTANE BALANCE in the purple box. They seem to have a little more visocity and I find them very soothing. I continue to have dry eyes and other issues that seem to wax and wane as I am still trying to find the "Sweet Spot" on replacement meds. This product is not less expensive, but I find I use it less ofton than other brands.

I use two drops, Soothe XP and Refresh Optive during the day. I can use them every hour if my eyes are dry and gritty feeling. At night I use Refresh Celluvisk, a gel drop. All of these were recommended by my eye doctor. They have helped me a lot. I hope this helps you. I know they’re not cheap, but if it helps, it’s worth it.

I use Bausch and Lomb Advanced Eye Relief. My eyes felt scratchy for years. I tried this stuff and it stopped instantly. The drops are dirt cheap.
