Hi all – a member of our Arizona support group who has TED had a question about whether it’s safe to start on Estradiol for Hormone Replacement Therapy. The prescribing info includes the usual litany of dire warnings, but I can’t find any specific contraindications related to Graves’ or TED. Does anyone here have experience with Graves’ and HRT, particularly if there is TED involved? This individual was treated several years ago with RAI and is taking thyroid hormone replacement.
