Last night I had to go to the ER. I have had abnormal bleeding for 3 weeks now. This was before I started Levo. The ER doc did some blood work and came back I was extremly Hypo. I told her I* just started the levo march 2nd. She said thats the reason I was bleeding so bad. Has any one experienced this sympton while being hypo. I am still bleeding. It’s really driving me nuts. Had a pelvic examination, every thing came back norm, thank god.
Other than abnormal bleeding, I am feeling some what better, getting some energy back. Today is day 8 taking levo. I can feel the improvement. Actually been able to do some walking and working out side. I have lost 4lbs. I am watching what i eat and drink. <img decoding=” title=”Wink” />

Hello – Yes, heavy menstrual periods can be a symptom of being hypOthyroid. But I would encourage anyone who is experiencing this to get it checked out (like you did) in order to rule out any other underlying conditions that might be causing the bleeding.

That’s great to hear that you are getting some energy back!
