Hello – We are fellow patients here, not docs, so we can’t give medical advice. However, it’s important to note that your TSH, T4, and T3 are all in the “normal” range.

Graves’ disease is an autoimmune condition, where the body’s own immune system mistakenly starts attacking healthy tissues. Different autoimmune conditions target different parts of the body. The thyroid (and sometimes the eyes and the skin) are the primary targets in Graves’ disease. The challenge right now is that there is no cure for the autoimmune component of Graves’ – instead, the available treatment options (anti-thyroid medications, Radioactive Iodine to destroy the thyroid, surgery to remove the thyroid) are designed to control hyperthyroidism, which *usually* occurs in Graves’ patients.

I have not heard of any cases where patients with high TSI but normal thyroid levels have been recommended for treatment, although hopefully, your docs will keep *very* close tabs on your levels to see if they do go out of range in the future.

    Take care!
