Hello – Getting a claim through for Graves’ disease can be very challenging, as it’s difficult to *quantify* the symptoms. Also, if you are currently working, that will result in an automatic denial.
It’s helpful to have an experienced disability attorney on your side to guide you through this process. As Karen said, most claims are initially denied, so you have to keep working the system. I personally know of two individuals who made successful claims; one had severe vision issues, and the other had Graves’ in addition to another autoimmune condition.
