Hi again,
Went to my physician to request a copy of the CT scan performed on 26/03/2013. The ordering MD was an eye surgeon that I went to for a 2nd opinion and do not plan to have him do the surgery.
When my physician printed off the results she did not discuss it with me and I just think she didn’t know what it meant and preferred the surgeon that Im going to for a 3rd opinion in May would be able to explain it better.
Apparently there is a new law in Canada that doctors cannot call you back with the results and that patients have to follow up; hence I have to call the ordering MD. I have done so but it will take approx. 2 business days for them to get back to me until then my mind is going crazy cause my eyes feel like crap and I have no idea what the scan results mean:
“Bilateral exophthalmos. Almost all of the extraocular muscles are enlarged (this is self explanitory).
The tendinous insertions do not appear affected.
There is crowding of the intraorbital contents at the apex bilaterally.
The globes are unremarkable in appearance.
Enlarged extraocular muscles and bilateral exophthalmos consistent with known history of graves disease.”
Has anyone else had these kind of results?
I am just asking for feedback not medical advice
Any feedback will be appreciated
Thanks
