Hello – We received a complaint from a member who received an excessive amount of spam e-mails to her personal e-mail account after accessing this board. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Kimberly,
I have notice alot more spam on my email account of course I have the spam blocker so it doesn’t go directly to my inbox. Before i would have some but lately when I go to my email there is quite a bit more. the few times I log in there its been alot more than I am use to seeing . I really didn’t think much about till I read your post but I am not sure if it has anything to do with bulletin board or not . I just empty the folder everytime before I log out. Thanks pauline

There’s been a definite uptick in the amount of spam making its way into the email account I use for this board — and I’m starting to see foreign sourcing (i.e. posts in cyrillic script, Spanish, etc.)

Obviously, I cannot trace it to my postings here, necessarily, but since you asked……

Thanks, all – the board was already set to keep e-mail addresses private, but I changed an additional setting, which should help.
