Has anyone had a problem with this, and if so , can anything be done. For about 1 year prior to recent dianosis with graves, I had this problem, but to a lesser degree. Only first thing in a.m. after coffee and a cigarette. My gynecologist said it was the cigarettes causing the problem. But I knew it wasn’t, since it didn’t happen everytime I had a cigarette. I quit smoking about 8 weeks ago, and was diagnosed about four weeks ago. But since diagnosis It seems to be a constant problem. I know Kate Flax mentioned in her book that only 2% of graves patients are affected with this. It’s pretty scarry. I’m afraid to go out in public for fear of an accident. I need to head for the bathroom as soon as I even think I have to go.. Not a pleasant topic. Hope it doesn’t offend anyone.
