Last night I attended the Boston Area Support Group Meeting hosted by Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary and GDATF. This was my first support group meeting and it definitely will not be my last.

The primary presenter was a colleague of Dr. Gregory Randolph who did a great job describing a number of aspects of TT surgery. In addition, Dr. Giuseppe Barbesino , a Mass General Hospital endocrinologist and Dr. Randall participated in a very informative and honest open question and answer period with the attendees covering topics like long term use of ATD’s as well as potential side effects of RAI.

I would like to personally thank all of the Medical personnel who gave up their time to be at this meeting and to GDATF for arranging this type of session. I know other attendees also felt that the information that was provided and discussed was not only clear but also very helpful.

Thanks so much for the kind words! We are really grateful for the support from Mass Eye & Ear as well as Mass General – the docs at these facilities truly go above and beyond to promote patient education!
