    It is 2AM and I’m awake :/

I don’t know what is going on but during the last few days I’ve been feeling very hot again. I’m feeling better to the point that a lot of the time I feel normal … except for the “hot flashes”. I’ve been on MMI for one month and one week. I got woken up this AM b/c I felt very hot. Last night I was laying on the couch and at times I would get hot and start sweating really bad :( Why is this happening? Why did the hot flashes go away for a while and then returned but I feel better overall? If I could only not feel like this. Has anyone had a similar experience? Did you figure out why? It has been pretty hot here were I live but in side my house the temp has not changed.

Thank you to any responses and advice.

Hello – Hopefully, you will get some other responses, but I would definitely report any new, worrisome symptoms to your doctor’s office.

I get these very occasionally, but hard to tell if it’s thyroid related or because I’m approaching that age where hot flashes become more common!

Hi, before my thyroid removal I felt extremely hot. I would have to fan myself or step outside in the dead of winter to cool off. I still have some problems with it but I just figured the symptoms I was experiencing was related to being “heat intolerant”. I hope getting your thyroid levels closer to the normal range may help you.

Thank you Kimberly and dgregory for you messages.

I’m in my 30s but I guess I could be having hot flashes due to other than thyroid hormones :| I will mention it to my Endo. I has such a hard time sleeping last night. I go to sleep and wake up feeling hot and then I can’t go back to sleep. It is very frustrating. I so wish it was winter already. I figured it was thyroid related b/c they went away for a while while on Methimazole but now they are back … :(

    Frustrated ….

Thank you again. I’ll mention it to my Endo.
