    I’m curious whether doctors ever test for TRH with Graves’? TRH is thyrotropin(which is TSH) releasing hormone. TRH is released by the hypothalamus to cause the pituitary to release TSH. Seems TRH would show abnormalities with GD. I wonder if it is ever useful?

    Hello – I have not heard of this testing being done when there is confirmation of a Graves’ diagnosis, although it can be used in diagnosing other issues. Here is some info from the Society for Endocrinology in the UK:
