Since I’ve become a parent I’ve been pondering expressions or descriptions that we have about babies and children in general.
One description I’ve thought of lately is “The sound of pitter-pattering feet” when you describe a child.
As far as I know I’ve NEVER heard my 2-year old pitter-patter anywhere! A fast walk or run more describes it!
However, my husbands says that dog pitter-patter when they walk. So the next time somebody says that they’ll be hearing the sound of pitter-pattering feet soon in their house you can ask them – “Oh, you’re going to be getting a dog?”
Just another little funny to brighten everybody’s day.
