    Same issue here. My endo confirmed allergy to the Tapazole. She is concerned about liver damage so she want me to have RA instead. Right away. I’m doing some alternative med research including diet changes.

    @rbc – You can read more about the Foundation’s position on alternative treatment options in the “Treatment Options” thread in the Announcements section of the forum. Focusing on making healthy lifestyle changes, based on information from credible medical sources, is always a good idea – with or without Graves’ disease.

    However, abandoning conventional treatment for hyperthyroidism in pursuit of an unproven, alternative treatment can be extremely dangerous, and we do not advocate this approach.

    If you don’t have confidence in your current endo’s advice, a second opinion would be helpful. The “Looking for a Doctor?” thread in the Announcements section of the forum is a good place to start.
