I have the same tummy now. I wondered if some of it had to do with the fact that my bowels were/ are somewhat out of whack right now. I am still hypo clinically. I have tried to make sure that I am drinking lots of fluid during the day. I haven’t put on more weight since I went hypo while on ATDs more than two years ago but what I have isn’t moving away either. Had RAI in May 09 and went hypo in Sept 09. Been on levoxyl since then trying to get the right dose.

I’m currently on 88mcg of Levo. I have had no weight gain through the process of RAI, replacement, etc. BUT, my "lower belly", is extremely bloated. I’m thin and when I turn to the side, it’s like I had a water balloon in my belly. Although the scale shows no weight gain, I have never had this and I have had 3 kids. When I shuck in my stomach from the side it looks like I’m 3 months pregnant (I’m Not;) All I can relate this to is hormones? I’m 32….so is it the thyroid adjusting? It is terrible. It has been like this for 1 month. Nothing helps it. Anyone had this after RAI?
