Hyperm,
Just wanted to share with you the mantra that I said to myself as I went for the RAI. My biggest fear was that my legs would quit working and that I would fall down and not be able to get to the hospital. I know that’s irrational but I think you understand where that type of fear comes from. I just kept saying, My legs will work and I will get through this! I never said it out loud or told my husband or anyone that I was saying this. It really did help me. At our church one summer one person said that her mantra that kept her calm was "the breath of God" . Maybe a mantra would help your anxiety too.Take it one hour at a time and remember if you could give birth to two great boys you can do anything.
Have a great day today.

Thanks EWMB! Will do!
I am so disheartened tonight! I just hope that I DO FEEL better after this op and this isn’t just me for life!
I felt ill after being diagnosed but this last 8 months post TS has been a real killer – I want my life back!!!
All of you who have had the op – did you feel so much better after the op (please say yes …like the day after lol)

I didn’t do surgery, so I can’t be the reassuring voice you really want, but I know that everyone I’ve spoken to who DID have the surgery has waxed poetic about the wonderful feeling of returning to themselves ~ you’ll get there too! ” title=”Very Happy” /> Try to breathe deep and often, leave all the anxiety to Him, and focus on doing whatever it is you need to do in order to get through the day.
If your doctor has a lot of experience, and your doctor feels you are safe to have the surgery with whatever blood levels you’ve got, then ask about 100 more doctors just to make sure. ” title=”Wink” /> KIDDING! Are you laughing? Feel better? Then laugh more, promise me you will!
LOl Ski! Yes you are on to me!
I called my BIL in Japan and he was saying that she is very experienced and wouldn’t want any issues with her surgery so TRUST HER! I’m like ok BUT!!!
Yes you are so right leave all in God’s hands and all will be well….thats my mantra by the way now!

hyperm, nerves are very understandable, but not too useful.
During the worst situations in my life, I prayed. I ultimately realized that the Lord gave me exactly what I needed, which was not necessarily what I asked for! We need to understand that it is not our will, but His, that will be done.
Give yourself and your worries over to God. Place your trust in God, and let Him worry about it for you.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to preach! But if you’re able to do this, you will experience a sense of calmness. Truly. I will pray for you. God bless us all ” title=”Smile” />Paloma – thats not preaching at all just words of encouragement…and what lovely words too ” title=”Smile” /> Thanks so much for all your prayers I definitely will need them
I go in at 8am – the morning of the op so at least I won’t be lying worrying in a hospital bed the night before and missing my boys dreadfully!
Well its count down folks! What would I do with you all ! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
