    Early registration available for the Patient Conference, call the National Office NOW.

    There is an article about Graves’ Ophthalmopathy – research being done by Rebecca Bahn, MD at the Mayo Clinic. She and her team of investigators are currently recruiting patients. If you are interested in participating in this study or have questions call: Doctor Rebecca Bahn’s Medical Secretary 507-284-2462. Please mention you learned about this project from the Graves’ Disease Foundation.

    Also, on page 4 an article about Understanding Graves’ Disease. In addition, read on page 5 about Graves’ Champions – "In the Spotlight" announcing Celebrity Spokespersons Katie Lindendoll, and Pat Bradley, LPGA Golfer both affected by Graves’.

    You can help the GDF by becoming a Member ($35 donation or greater). Join our "Campaign for a Cure" of Graves’ disease to raise $1,000,000. Any contribution is tax-exempt and greatly appreciated.

    There is still time to get a discount for the 2010 Patient & Family Conference to be held at the Bahia Hotel in San Diego, CA starting Friday Oct. 22-24. After September 25 both registration and hotel rates will be increasing.

    The Bahia offers economical and casual accomodations right on the beach. Conference rates will be $99 @ night or for a larger room – $119. Our room block will be limited at these discounted prices so early registration will be important. It’s first come availability and once they are gone – the rates will go back up to seasonal prices.

    Conference registration is $175 for meals and handouts. Past attendees have given our speakers – specialists and researchers very high reviews for their discussions on treating Graves’ and other thyroid-related diseases.
