    Ski, I look forward to seeing you in San Diego!! It’s been too long!

    I made a couple of errors in my post about the Conference. First, the link to the hotel is properly: http://www.Sheraton.com/Carlsbad The link to online registration is now on the NGDF web page, but it will be a few days still before the registration is operational.

    I agree 100% with Ski’s comments about the Conference. I’ve been going for eleven years, and still never fail to learn something new. I’m also bonded for life with the friends I’ve made there, and am always delighted to get to know the new attendees and bring them into our “family”. Our support groups, which are guided by some expert professionals the Worbys, are unforgettably healing and by themselves priceless, more than worth the cost of the conference.

    This will be my fifth conference. I was diagnosed six years ago. I missed the one my first year because I was extremely hypothyroid and I couldn’t deal with traveling cross country. But I’ve been every year since. I love our conferences. I love being around others with Graves’ Disease. I have a pretty good support group around me and I still love the conferences. It’s hard to put into words how wonderful the conferences are. At the end of our last conference, someone who had just participated in her first conference told me that she was home. That’s a pretty good way of describing it. It’s time for our annual family reunion.

    You do not need to deal with this disease alone. Come join us!!!!

    The conferences are open to those of us with Graves’ disease and our family/friends. In the past, children and teenagers with Graves’ disease have attended so there is no age limit either.

    Besides being around others with Graves’, I always learn something new just as Ski and Dianne said.

    I can’t wait to see old friends and make new friends.

    Hello Linette and Noel, It’s so nice to read that many of you will be going to the conference. I truly wish I could go but at this time it’s just not possible. However bring back TONS and TONS of information to the board so we all can read the joys, the sads and more knowledge. Have a super time all.

    Must’ve been one busy day for the registration system ~ I registered yesterday too! Looking forward, especially to the beautiful San Diego weather in October, YUM.

    There is a mechanism in the registration process to provide scholarship funds to those who may otherwise not find themselves in the position to afford the trip ~ keep that in mind, everyone!
