I had RAI 2 1/2 weeks ago and I’m feeling really good. I can actually go to sleep at 9:30 at night! That is amazing to me..lol It’s been years:)

Just wanted to update with a positive experience so far. No weight gain and feelin’ good <img decoding=” title=”Wink” />

Congratulations on feeling good and hope it continues for weeks and months to come.

I haven’t been quite so lucky. Had my RAI on the November 12th. Since that time, I have experienced rapid heartbeat, tremors, additional weight loss, and general shakiness. In other words, all of my pre-medication hyper symptoms. Of course, some of this could be due to the prednisone for the TED. On Friday, I believed I experienced somewhat of a thyroid "dump." My heart rate really increased, I became very flushed and hot, and my mind was a bit disoriented. it scared my husband and the cat. (Well, no, maybe not the cat)

I know that I made the correct choice. The road is just a little more bumpy than I expected.

Oh, yes, LIz, being on prednisone really causes the nerve jangles and insomnia. It’s like a double whammy when we are still hyperthyroid.

I do hope you are feeling much better soon.

    Hey Liz,

Yeah..that medication can make you crazy..lol

I did have some "dumping" symptoms. But..they are nothing like being hyper if that makes sense. I have felt that all my symptoms are very managable…which is a good feeling. My goiter has swelled up very large….but it’s just mad about the RAI:) The goiter thinks I like him….little does he know he will srival up and die….LOLOLOLOL

Hang in there…we have to give this months…
