I have had hyperthyroid since 2006 and have been on Methimazole at 10,5 and 2.5 mg. There was no Graves’ antigen in 2025 tests so I stopped meds. but was still having afib episodes. Feb 2026 was diagnosed with severe hyperthyroid.
Can any share experiences of on 30 mg methimazole and having high levels of liver enzymes? Due to this, I may not be able to get my thyroid normal without meds. Thank you.
