Hi John! It’s been over six years since I had the RAI treatment, and since then my hormone replacement dosage has changed several times. I’ve been as high as .175 mg to as low as .1mg. It seems each time I have my TSH checked lately my doctor adjusts the dosage.

It’s my understanding that it takes many years for the thyroid to completely adjust to the treatment. It was about four years after RAI that my endo said that my thyroid gland was gone and that my dosage would have to be closely watched to regulate it accurately.

So, maybe your thyroid is still in the adjustment stages. Correct me if I’m wrong, anyone!
