The same friend/internist who told me about the T3 information also told me that he feels the uptake information is “definitive” for hyperthyroid. If your uptake is way higher than normal (which is, I understand 5%-30%) you HAVE hyperthyroid. Is this semantics? I don’t know. Anyway, he also told me that there is no correlation between uptake results and how you feel. I had made a comment like, “Thank God I was ‘only’ at 61%!! I’d hate to know what I would have felt like if it was any worse.” And he said that the symptoms and the way we feel do not directly correlate with uptake. Someone could be higher than 61% and not feeling as bad as I was feeling. Or, obviously, as you have been feeling at 66%. Good luck.
