I personally have had better success with Tapazole since eliminating as much of the iodine as I possibly can. After all, iodine is a major “fuel” for the thyroid! Even eliminating all you can, you still get plenty!

I will give you a list of some chemical food additives found in popular processed/packaged foods that are iodine/seaweed based. I just discovered this info a few years ago. Perhaps if you avoid them, too, you’ll feel even better.
Still trying to find a good list of foods which naturally contain iodine. It’s difficult to get an exact quote on iodine content in foods, because the levels of iodine vary so much, depending on where fruits and vegs were grown, how much iodine is added to the diets of livestock, etc.
A recent study has found a possible link between the excessive iodine in American diets with the increase of autoimmune thyroid disease. I’ll summarize it and get it out on the board as soon as I can.
