Vicky,
I have had quite a bit of luck with a high protein, low complex carbohydate diet. Since we are not supposed to have iron within a couple of hours of taking the Synthroid, it was easy to eliminate the morning carbs. I usually have fresh fruit for breakfast. I try not to eat breads with lunch and supper (unless I am having a sandwich, then I jam it onto 1 slice of bread). I eat cheese, fruit or nuts for snacks. I have lost 16 of the 31 pounds I gained while hypo on the ATDs and post RAI. My endo has also had me add vitamin and iron supplements at supper. That way I am still getting most of my RDA’s.

I hope this helps you. I’m not sure, but isn’t Weight Watchers’ a high carb diet?

Sue
