Elly,
I gained 35 pounds and am finally losing weight and feeling much better.
In my case, I’ve been taking Prednisone for most of 3 months and have had daily periods of extreme hunger. I’ve had large blood sugar increases (I am also diabetic) from the steroids. I was able to maintain blood sugar with pills, but had to add insulin. Getting my blood sugar under control has helped a great deal. Also, the higher protein (no sugar, no white flour…) regimes seem to help remove the extraordinary hunger. I’m using Fat Busters to follow the “glycemic index” avoiding also potatoes, corn, carrots and processed grains (whole grains okay in moderation). Lots of fresh vegies also help fill me up.
I know how you feel! I’m encouraged by those before us who have successfully lost that excess weight before us.
Thanks to all for the responses to this series of posts.
