Rose, I hope you will see a doctor before April, with those symptoms. The suggestion to go to an urgent care facility is a good one, if you can’t get an appointment with an endocrinologist immediately. Mention that you have been diagnosed with Graves’ previously, and that the symptoms are back.

I’m glad to hear you have one option for a new doctor. If this one doesn’t work out, look in the phone book under “endocrinology”, and make some phone calls. Try Jake’s method of asking for an interview with the doctor, to find out if you want to “hire” him to help you manage your Graves’ Disease. (He described his method in detail in a previous post.) If you don’t want to use that method, try asking the nurse whether the doctor is good at allowing patient input in the treatment process. If the office staff doesn’t know immediately what you’re talking about, you probably have the wrong place.

I strongly urge you to see treatment immediately. Your symptoms sound pretty serious. Best wishes, and please let us know what you do.
