reply to Mike:
Regarding puffiness under the eyes, which in my case are now full-blown shopping bags, I sent out many “help” messages on this BB, and got many helpful replies.
Vesna explained it to me beautifully, better than my doc, that due to the protrusion of the eyeball because of the swollen tissues behind the eye, the fat beneath the lower eyelids becomes misplaced and pushed forward too. My TED is not considered severe, but I have slight bulging eyes and all the discomfort and see a neuro-opthalmologist. I’m afraid that once the TED stabilizes or goes into the cold phase, I may have eyelid surgery and have those bags removed. I don’t think they’ll go away on their own.
It’s best to discuss with your opthalomologist, of course. Best of luck,
Renee
