I too had massive hair loss. In fact it was the reason my doctor did the Thyroid check in the first place. I was blessed with thick hair so that has helped. I bought a wig and a hair piece, but since I had the RAI almost two weeks ago my hair loss has reached a standstill. I have just enough left to make my life tolerable. I don’t have to wear the wig or the hairpiece. BUT, my hair does look different and it also feels different. It’s so much thinner, especially in the front. I used to have thick bangs, now I have wisps. My friends and family tell me it looks better, that I had too much hair before. I know they are trying to make me feel good and I am most appreciative. The part I am still having trouble with is the texture. My hair is shoulder lenth and blonde (more from a bottle than natural) and it is really wiry and brittle and just plain weird feeling. I have tried conditioners and mousses and I use a thickener shampoo and a thickener mousse and hair gel on it. It helps but not much. I guess now its just a matter of hoping I have seen the last of the hair loss and then waiting a long long time for it to grow back again. I do see little teeny short hairs where my bald spots are. I think I am on the road back to normalcy. It just might be a long ride, thats all. I hope you have the same luck I have had and that your hair loss will also slow down and then stop. I hope this gives you some reason to look to the future with hope and confidence. Sincerely, Je Ne
