    Happy New Year everybody!

A weird question but I am guessing there is no better place to ask :

{RAI Jan 2013; currently on Synthroid 100(x5) / 112(x2). I feel like this is the right dosage for me. I have energy to go about my daily life and overall I feel good albeit a little heavy (I have gained about 10 lbs since turning hypo)

I have recently started fast walking on the machine after not doing so while I was going through the active part of the disease. I have always been an exerciser, always working up a good sweat while doing so.
I am walking at a pace of 4.3 mph for 1/2 an hour. Although my heart rate goes up to around 120, I don’t seem to sweat alot. In fact, I sweat very minimally. The gym is not especially cold or warm. I have been working out there for 10 years… It feels weird to me. I have to say that while walking I feel good, not over exerting myself but not slacking either. I feel like I am working hard, but have nothing to show for it.
My questions is: does this phenomenon have to do with my thyroid? Something with my rTs?
Does this have to do with those lbs that don’t seem like they are going anywhere?

    Best,
    MiTh

No idea. I don’t sweat much, but when I lived in the Midwest, in the humid summers, I sure did. Of interest, there is an article in the NYT today about that topic. I think it is in the Health Section.

Hello – I would mention this to your doctor at your next visit. This can be as simple as not getting enough fluids, or it can be a side effect of certain meds, or it can be associated with an underlying medical condition.
