    Dear Sharon,

I have been on Prednisone more times that I care to count, and more doses than I can count. It IS hard to get off, and you are not there yet. Have you been able to talk to your doctor about all the anxiety? Prednisone can certainly wind us up in that realm, so can just having Graves’ and/or eye disease. Oh, I forgot to mention “life”, too. There may be other approaches that the doctor can take, but only if you talk to them. Give information, such as it is a ___ on a scale of 1-10, and it happens most in _____(whatever part of the day). When is it better, when is it worse? Does it have any relationship to your other medications?

    Take care,

    Nancy

thank you for your reply, I feel like I am never going to get better, impossible to calm down, feel like I am loosing my mind, cannot get an apt with any dr’s for a month or more to go over all the meds I’m on, internist has me on them, but I don’t feel better, feel worse every day, scared the meds are all working against each other…..I have had anxiety lots of times before, but meds always helped, this time they are not…… feel like I’m coming out of my skin…….loosing faith

Yes. It is so frustrating. Seraquil is generally used only for a specific diagnosis. Xanax can be a problem on-going. And only you can decided if the Lexapro is helping. Sure be nice if you can find a doc to discuss ALL your meds and be nice to you. Hard to differentiate the anxiety part, may still be the prednisone. ANY way you can get back to the doc who prescribed them all?

Call and say none are helping, that you feel worse, and you are concerned.
Don’t know if will help you at all. Sometimes you need to scare the person at the front desk, say you need an urgent appointment, that usually works.
