Just wondering. I’ve read that some symptoms of bing hypo are anxiety as well as being hyper.

My anxiety keeps coming back. Not sure if its me swinging back and forth between normal and hypo. I’ve heard of having anxiety when you are hyper not hypo.

Or else if it has to do with my cycle? During times of more hormone production?

This has just got to get better. I cannot stand the anxiety much longer.

I’m thinking of asking my endo to push up my appts a couple weeks cuz this is just nutters.

    Help!

Hello – This is clearly affecting your quality of life, so it would certainly make sense to call the endo’s office and ask for an earlier appointment. You might also ask for a referral to a specialist.

Patients usually see some relief from anxiety issues once levels are both normal and stable…but this process can take some time. In other cases, there is an underlying disorder that can benefit from separate treatment.

This video from our 2012 San Diego conference talks about how symptoms can overlap, and what the different treatment options are if there *is* an underlying issue.

    Thanks Kimberley.

So hopefully if I can get my thyroid numbers within the normal range this anxiety will go away…

Thank you for letting me vent here, I’m getting a little frustrated with how
Long it’s taking to feel myself again. Do we ever feel like ourselves again?

I’m going to call my endo tomorrow and see if I can get my appt pushed up a couple weeks..

    Thanks again!

I think this is really an individual issue. Some patients get treated, move on, and basically forget that they ever had Graves’. (And for the most part, these are the folks we *never* hear from on this board!) For others, it’s a longer journey and involves settling in to a “new normal”.

As one of our former facilitators, Jake, (who had severe TED) used to say…”I have Graves’. Life is good!”

You should feel much better once you get to a place where your levels are both normal *and* stable. Hang in there!
