Hi All, I have been on Tapazole for @ 2 months now and it seems strange, but when I take it before bed, I have nightmares that wake me within the first few hours of sleep. Even with my sleeping pill its awful. I took it a couple of days in the AM, and had no nightmares. Guess I have to change my schedule.

    Anyone else having this problem?

No, it has been a long time since I had it, but for some reason, I always took it in the morning. Probably no reason!

Hello – I have not heard of this as a side effect of Tapazole. And while I haven’t seen any specific studies on dreams and hyperthyroidism, I *have* heard stories from several patients who tend to experience more vivid dreams in general while hypER.

As long as you are following your doc’s instructions (if any) regarding taking a single dose or splitting up your dose throughout the day, you should be OK with changing up the time of day, as long as you are consistent with the new schedule.

    Take care!
