My question isn’t really about food poisoning, but I didn’t want to put “yacking” in the subject line.
Long story short: I went to my cousin’s wedding on Saturday. It was poorly planned and they ran out of food. So our table and two other tables had to wait while they made more chicken and fish. I guess they rushed, because we were served undercooked chicken and several of us woke up around 4 a.m. with horrible bouts of food poisoning. My brother and I were both vomiting until about 5 p.m. last night, so 12 hours of getting sick every 20 minutes or so.
During each episode, I felt extreme pressure and pain in my eyes. At one point, I even tried pressing on my eyes as I threw up, thinking it would relieve the pressure. I was honestly scared they were going to pop out even further. My brother did not have any of this pain so I can only attribute it to the TED. Maybe because there’s already swelling back there and vomiting causes more swelling?
I rarely get sick to the point of vomiting, so I’ve never experienced this before in my year of having TED. Anyone else felt this when violently ill? I feel terrible this morning still and will probably not last the workday, but my eyes only hurt during and immediately after each episode.
