I awakened with horrible cramps and nauseated, thru out the day the pain would sometime increase. Now for the past few hours I’ve been having a fever of 101-102 along with very bad leg pain, a tiny amt of shortness of breath and palpitations. I haven’t took my meds in about 2/3 days and at my appt earlier my stats were 119/90 bp, a heart rate of 130.

Can someone please give me advice etc..

We are not doctors here, and it sounds like that is what you need: a doctor. Please call yours, or take yourself to a walk-in clinic to get things checked out.

Personally, I’d be on the phone with my Dr. Too serious to wait on symptoms like that, in my opinion. Please get medical help asap. Prayers for you.

Thanks for the replies, I went to the endocrinologist yesterday. When I tried to make him aware of what was going on he kinda over talked me. He checked my blood pressure and heart rate, but not my temp. I’ve called his office this morning. Hopefully he’ll call back.

Go to the ER, be sure to give your Graves’ history first. The first intake person many not know about Graves’ at all. Emphasize that you need to be seen very soon, by saying that you need to be seen to rule out a medical emergency which is called thyroid storm. Tell them to call your endo, even if he does not have privileges at the hospital, he is your doctor. This may help.If they show no understanding at all, call your endo from the ER.If you have someone with you, have them repeat this information to anyone they can find. ER’s are super busy, overcrowded, with very sick people, trauma, and folks who are not very sick but use the ER as a visit for a sore throat, cause they don’t have insurance, and people seeking drugs. You come in the first category, until proven otherwise.

I guess I should ask you if are you are feeling much better now. ARe you drinking fluids? Include that in your history, too.

I don’t have anything new to add, other than to echo everyone else’s advice and encourage you to seek medical treatment ASAP. There is a ton of collective expertise on this forum, but serious symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, and heart palps are best handled ASAP by trained medical professionals.

You know your body and you know that something is off — please be persistent until you get the care you deserve!

Hello, fellow GDATF. I am new this forum and am extremely glad that this forum exists. I am still trying to navigate through the site and am having difficulty finding an option to start a new thread. I was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease almost two weeks ago. I am having difficulties coping. I’ve known that I’ve had an hyperactive thyroid but having Graves’ wasn’t confirmed until two weeks ago. Can someone please let me know how I can write a new post. I’m not finding it. Thank you! :)

Near the top of the main bulletin board page, on the left hand side, is a box that says “New Topic.” If you click it you can start a new thread.
