Many of you will remember the 2011 “Greater Than Graves” bike ride from Anchorage, AK to San Francisco, CA, which was organized by Michaela Cui. The GDATF is pleased to announce that a new team of riders will be continuing the tradition in 2012 with a coast-to-coast ride from Wellfleet, MA to San Francisco, CA starting on May 26th and concluding on July 31st.

Riders Elias McQuade, David Britton, and Keating Tufts will be leading this year’s edition of the GTG challenge, and will be accompanied by doctors riding along on select legs of the journey. Elias’ sister was diagnosed with Graves’, and he has organized the 2012 event in her honor.

The ride will help raise awareness of Graves’ disease and other thyroid-related issues and will help raise funds to provide educational and support services to patients and their families.

If you would like to donate to this great cause – or even join the team to help raise funds – please visit the Greater Than Graves’ web site or Crowdrise page:
