    Hi everyone

I havent posted here in a while. Luckily for me – I have continued to be in "remission" for almost a full year now. Levels are staying in normal range and antibody test was almost negative one year ago. I had suffered from GD for many years – and was on PTU for about 4 years. In late 2009 – I was having an accasional PVC – and had a cardio work up done – Holter, treadmill, echo and all was normal. I stopped PTU in Oct 2010 and then this past June – I started having tons of PVC’s again. It would come on and last for about 3 hours – sometimes on and off all day – now it seems to be whenever I am anxious, or get my HR up – (any exercise) I had a holter done last month again – only showed 4 pvcs, was in ER with them every 3 beats and they said all was ok. I just had a treadmill done this week – had PVC’s every other beat after I got off. SO scary and so stressful. My question is – has anyone else experienced this and found the connection with their thyroid even though levels ok? I know they tell be its completely benign – but its affecting my life so much I just got Ativan today at Dr and I HATE taking meds. Anyway – My TSH levels have been on the lower side of normal (they always are) at about .45-.80 and I test now every couple months. I retested today so waiting for those. All T3 & T4 are within normal each time as well.

I hope this stress of the PVC’s doesnt bring my GD Back.

Hello – That’s good to hear that you are still in remission…but sorry that the heart issues are causing concern. Yes, I have heard from other patients who have experienced PVCs. Here’s some info from the Mayo Clinic. (You will need to use your browser’s "back" button to return to the boards after viewing).

Have you been able to identify any other triggers besides stress, such as alcohol or caffeine consumption? You might also talk to your doctor about whether you are a candidate for a beta blocker, which might provide some relief.
