Thanks to all who reminded me to be thankful. I know I complain too much
and have my own little ‘pity parties’ too often.
I’m thankful for a wonderful supportive husband who takes care of me
without complaint.
I’m thankful for my wonderful children. One son lives close enough to
be a real help. Today, he and his girl friend took me Christmas shopping
and wrapped gifts. My other son lives too far away to be more than
moral support – but I’m grateful for that. His wife is in a wheelchair
and he takes such good care of her.
I’m thankful for my Abyssinian cat, Fritz, for all the time he spends
cuddling with me when I’m down.
I’m thankful all my family will be with me at Thanksgiving – and that they
are staying in motels this year.
I’m thankful for a good job with good medical insurance, for good doctors
who don’t blow me off, and that my back feels wonderful after the very
successful surgery.
I’m especially thankful for my church family and pastor. Their prayers
keep me going.
I’m so thankful for all of you. I can read and learn. Listen and share.
I can laugh and cry and know you are all feeling the same. There is
such comfort in that.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
