I’ve had poor vision for ever, but since I have worn extended
wear contacts for years, it never seemed like my vision was that bad.

I can still (barely) wear my contacts to take care of most of my normal
vision problems, but add glasses over them with prisms to take care
of the double vision – it’s that or walk around with one eye closed.

Unless your double vision problem is tons worse than mine, I think
you can correct it this way. The prisms are just ground into a lens
(my optometrist did it for me) and believe me, it makes a huge difference.
I hate that I have to wear glasses again for the first time in about
20 years, but there isn’t much I do like about what GD does. I’m
just hoping to come out the other side some day in better shape than
    I am now.

    Best of luck to you.

My eye doctor had prisms groung into my gas permeable contact lenses. It corrects my double vision. She hadn’t heard of it being done before, but was willing to try. Is this a possibility for you? Susan Carr
