If you’re describing that IRRITATING burning sensation which I describe as being in my neck rather than in my throat — then, yes, I experience it intermittantly.

Unfortunately, I don’t know what it is or what triggers it. I also don’t know how to make it stop. It goes away just as unexpectedly as it comes. It’s every bit as irritating as the jaw pain and parotid gland swelling that acts up as a result of Sjogren. I wasn’t sure which disease was causing it. You might be giving me a clue.

Maybe I should have titled this post: “Pain in the Neck”!

The burning sensation I feel is just like the heartburn I had
before I had my Gall Bladder out, only it is at the base
of my throat. Sometimes it feels like I am going to be sick
and sometimes I feel a Rolaid will take it away.
    It is very annoying.
