After some problems with my stomach giving my grief, my doctor prescribed amedication (sorry I don’t remember what it was – but it had to be kept in the fridge). He said the main cause for the stomach problem was all of the medications I was taking at the time. When I finally got off the steroids my stomach felt much better. Just a thought – a queasy stomach is one of the first symptoms I had of Graves. So maybe it is something we “have to live with”.

    Hello:

I never had any problems with my stomach until graves. After I went
hypo and started synthroid I started to experience nausea and heartburn.
I had a upper GI done and the results were normal. I saw a GI doctor
and he told be because my thyroid levels were not in the normal range
this could be what was causing the problems. He put me on prilosec for
3 or 4 months. I had a normal blood reading in February of this year
and I am feeling a lot better. The heatburn left a few months ago and the
nausea is now gone. I stopped the prilosec last month and I am enjoying
food again and I have gain weight. I hope this is helpful.
