between T4, T3 and TSH, the last one to come into normal range will be TSH, because it is associated with the pituitary gland. So it takes the pituitary gland a little longer to realize that the thyroid is no longer producing on it’s own, and crank up the TSH. You might want to have your T3 checked also, because it is typically more important than your T4, because in some GD cases, T4 stays normal all the time. T4 is the least important reading of the thyroid hormones when it comes to GD. Usually it is six weeks or so before you see the TSH start climbing.
