When I was hyper, before diagnosis, my milk supply was uncharacteristically poor (I was a born Earth Mother type). I was told it was due to the hyperthyroidism, but unfortunately, because I opted for anti-thyroid meds, I stopped nursing #3 at five months of age).
One thing I tried that did help was an Old Wives’ rememdy – drink some beer (non-alcoholic preferrably, but regular if it will help you relax) – something in the hops stimulates the milk supply. Also, make sure your are replacing all the fluids that are eeking out in your hyper state – you probably need ALOT. Make sure that you are relaxing when you nurse, because this truly does effect the milk supply.
I hope this helps some.

Part of the TSH and the hormone that makes you have milk, PRL, prolactin,
are identical, and when TSH is high and you are hypo, this hormone is also
stimulated and you may have milk in your breasts, it is a symptom of
hypothyroidism and myxedema. So it stands to reason that if you are
hyper and your TSH is low, your milk production will be lower.Mary, I e-mailed you earlier. Just wanted to confirm what one of the women just wrote…..mentioned drinking some beer. That would help, and help to relax you, but that also goes along with the Brewers Yeast I mentioned. When I was nursing, 25 years ago, the League told me about Brewers Yeast. Back then it only came in a nasty powder, but now I think it comes in capsule form. Lots of water, and please, please keep stimulating. Let your baby nurse, even if she is just sucking. You will only reproduce what is taken, so keep up the good work and I promise it is worth all of the hassel you are going through. I had all kinds of crap thrown at me 25 years ago, and I am so glad I hung in there and didn’t cave in. I had a C-section too and that makes yor energy level a little low. We will lift you up in prayers for your strength. Best wishes, Bonna
