It’s been a while since I was on the board. My health has been pretty
stable. I was actually starting to forget about the Grave’s disease.
Then some stressful situations and extra work hours happened. Major
relapse of symptoms. It’s very disappointing to get sick whenever a
little stress comes my way. I guess I will always have to carefully
monitor my lifestyle in order to live with Grave’s.That seems really
difficult to cope with right now. Needed to vent.

        Generally speaking:

I heard that TED( thyroid eye disease) has nothing to do with the hyperthyroidism
itself, but that it is the antibodies that is creating the Graves disease
        that causes the TED.

So no matter how you get treated for Graves disease there is no direct correlation between
the hyperthyroidism of Graves disease and the thyroid eye disease. Except there is
some physicians and researchers who say that there is a possibility of
the Thyroid Eye disease sometimes gets worse after Radiation treatment
or RAI not after the Radiation Uptake Scan.

I think this is mentioned in “The thyroid Sourcebook by Sara M. Rosenthal.
however I have read many articles on Graves so it could be another.
