Hi Lyn,
Yep, I get the PMS now but I was blaming it on having the
Fibromyalgia. I did not get it so bad the last time. This
might be due to exercising more and taking Advil for my
Fibro pains. Boy, do I ever hate the PMS pains! Ouch!
Oh yeah, I have also been taking a warm soak bath everyday. So I can’t say what works but I am really grateful when
whatever I am doing seems to be working.Good Luck,
Michele B.Would just like to ask if anyone else has experienced PMS after getting the radio active iodine treatment? I have had it SEVERE since shortly after I went hypo and it has gotten worse since then. Also if anyone has, would like to know if you have found anything natural that has helped with it? Thanks in advance!
Lynne,
I had RAI in April and I have noticed it getting worse, plus it would also be worse if I was really hyper too. Also I am experiencing my period after only 3 weeks. I understand that is normal too – but I HATE it!!! I am hoping once the hormone replacement kicks in things will be more normal. I had a TSH level of 22 as of last Friday.
Yuck!
The only thing that seems to help (ha-ha) is chocolate!
Hope you get better fast.
Emily
I just had this conversation with a friend recently. PMS-ing like all get out!
Seems to be steadily increasing over time too and I’ve been stable on
meds post RAI for more than a year. I was also asking if it was pre-
menopause, Graves, or if I just get meaner as I get older. (-:
I have been taking over the counter drugs meant for PMS symptoms
specifically and they do seem to help somewhat. -
