Hang in there Jean
the ton of chocolate
well i dont know if that
will relax you but it
helps ya, go for it.feel better, steve
Went to the QuickCare clinc today run by my regular doctors
practice. Last couple of days I’ve been experiencing MAJOR
heart palpatations and racing. Started getting really jittery
last nite (tho I did stay up late). Came home from work the
last couple of days and literally passed out on the couch.
I’ve been off the PTU almost 2 months. Went in and saw the
physiscians assistant who checked me out. I had them draw
for a TSH level. I’ll hear on Monday what the numbers are.
In the meantime, I’m back on the PTU to see if I can start feeling
any better. The annoying thing was, I was feeling pretty fantastic
for the last several weeks. We also got a letter today from our family doctor who is
having to retire from family practice due to health reasons.
He had been looking rather peaked the last time I saw him. I’m
not sure what he has, but there is no cure. He will be practicing
at the QuickCare clinic where he will be able to work less
hours. I hope he is going to be okay he’s a great doc. He
suspected Graves’ Disease just from my initial blood panel
and is really knowledgable about it. I just hope the guy they
have replacing him is just as good. My doc is about the only
one at the practice I like. The others are okay, but he was the
best.Gods, I hope I’m just being paranoid. I hate the idea of going back on the
meds, but I don’t relish the thought of having to go RAI
because the meds failed. I think I’m going to see about getting
a ton of chocolate and try and bring my spirits up a bit.
At least the weather here has broken and the temps are in the 70’s.Jean C
I used to feel the same way until I went off the PTU (was on it for 2 years) and had my thyroid removed two weeks ago and feel like my old self. I haven’t felt this good in three years. Stay off the PTU and take care of your problem. Good luck!
