    Hi Cindy
    I was reading your post:

<<TAPAZOLE–CAN I TAKE IT FOR A LONG PERIOD WITHOUT HARM? Side effects are possible anytime on Tapazole. Liver function should be monitored.>>

I have some questions. How is the liver monitored? Does the endo include this test in the regular checkups? Is liver damage common because of long-term tapazole use? Usually how long are people on it when they get liver damage? Thanks.

    Hi Patience,
One should not be on ptu(tapazole) for more than 2 years. I just spoke with a woman on the phone yesterday who developed liver disease from long term use of these drugs! The doctor can run a liver function test to determine if your liver enzymes are outta whack.
    Hope this helps.
Ps. are you using mirc to get into chat?

    Hugs,
    JAN

    Hi Patience

Good questions. Unfortunately, I do not know the answers. Anybody?
