    Afternoon Melissa!
What you need to do is call your doctor, explain this to him and see if he/she wishes for you to take the beta blocker or not. We are not doctors and can give you NO medical advice or diagnosis here. I am sorry you are feeling poorly, a racing heart is no fun at all!

Let us know how you make out, please?

    Best Wishes,

    Hi Melissa,

I haven’t gone through this yet (haven’t gone hypo yet) but I’ve read quite a few posts from people who have gone through it, and they say it is common to “see saw” in your feelings when a dose has been changed. It is not very likely that you’ve been thrown into a hyperthyroid state so quickly, more likely that your body is going through an adjustment phase. The atenolol may help, but I’d make a quick check phone call to your doctor before taking it, as it can make the fatigue from being hypo even worse.

    Good luck!

    -Ski
