    Dale,

You might want to ask your doctor about pernicious anemia. It is more common in Grave’s disease. In other words, under risk factors for pernicious anemia; Grave’s disease is listed.

It is an autoimmune disease which attacks cells in the stomach and harms the intrinsic factor thus inhibiting the body’s ability to absorb Vitamin B12.

You might want to ask for a B12 level (blood test). If you have pernicious anemia, you would have to have B12 shots (or I think there is a nasal spray now) for the rest of your life.

It is important to know if this is the cause. Since B12 deficiency causes problems with the nervous system as well as anemia.
