    Afternoon warriors,

I have just added the ability to pay for your conference registration on-line at the conference page. You can pay for your registration, Saturday night Rock and Roll dance as well as the Sunday luncheon.

I look forward to see you all there.

I was unable to attend the conference. Was there any info on the associated autoimmune diseases that many may get after Graves? I am being treated for Rheumatoid / Lupus. They are not sure which I have as the bloodwork is negative, but I have symptoms for both. The meds they gave me can treat either. After 3+ months I feel better, but not good. I am looking for more info on what I can do, maybe with diet, to help these symptoms. I’m too young to feel so old.

Mammaw, the conference speakers did mention the association between GD and other autoimmune diseases, and the researchers who are working on autoimunnity cures offer hope for diseases like rheumatoid arthritis as well as Graves’ Disease.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having further problems, and I understand this, as I too have had autoimmune problems beyond Graves’ to deal with. So did Diane Barnes, our facilitator who died recently. She and I both had an autoimmunity to platelets, called ITP. Right now I’ve also got something nasty that isn’t yet diagnosed that sounds a little like what you’re talking about.

Hang in there, and if you need someone to talk to about it, send me an email. Since this is a Graves’ board we should probably not take up too much board time with other illnesses since not everyone identifies. Of course, it’s good for everyone to realize the potential exists to develop other problems.

I hope you get the best treatments possible and find wellness soon.
