After doing the hyper-hypo dance since I was diagnosed with Graves a year ago, I received my first stable blood work result this morning. I am on 10 mg of tapazole a day, a dose that previously left me hyper so maybe my immune system is settling down a bit!? (Fingers crossed.) Special thanks to Dianne W. for her interest, support and encouraging words at the conference. And to those of you struggling to get stable, hang in there if you can. Even my doctor is surprised! Love to all. Claire

Claire, that is wonderful news!!! At least I have something to look forward to. I was wondering if there was “normal” living after what we all are going through (or have gone through). I love reading these types of posts because I know there is a happy feeling eventually.

Thanks so much, Kim! My heart goes out to you and your daughter. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you to support her while working through your own.

    Hang in there.

Claire, great news! I just came on the board after being offline with computer problems, and so am happy to read your post.

I needed some good news considering that the hard drive containing the Cincinnati conference photos was damaged when my husband installed a new hard drive, and recovering the data from it may be too costly (the first quote was $750). I’m hopeful that we can find a place that’s cheaper, as there were some really good photos of people. You, Claire, are photogenic and I had some nice shots of you, as well as many good ones of everyone there.

I did manage to save a nice group photo, and that will be on the NGDF page tomorrow. Ellen will send me the photos she took, so we’ll have photos one way or another; just not quite as soon as I had planned.

Anyway, best wishes for continued success with your treatment, and I was so happy to meet you at the conference!

    Dianne W
