Avenell,
You are not alone in how you are feeling, I had similar experiences with family and friends. The problem is you probably don’t look sick, just really tired. They don’t want us to be sick, so they just go on what they see. Also, if you have been hyper for a long time, you probably have been on every level of emotion there is and your family is most likely beginning to think you have completely lost your mind. And they just don’t seem to get the extreme fatigue, because yesterday you were probably swinging hyper and couldn’t stop.
We need to look at how they are feeling also. Sometimes it is just better to share your feelings here on this website. Everyone understands and can help you get through the many different problems you have had, and the many you are probably going to face until you get back to normal. Which isn’t going to be tomorrow, but it will come. You are going to have to be patient with yourself.
I tell my family very little of how I am feeling. My friendship became so strained with my best friend, that I just backed off. It wasn’t fair to her. I have made it through by the help of everyone on this website. And, I have started to rebuild my relationships with my family. I’m not suggesting that we not share with our families, we need them, but some things are better to save and share with those on this website that have experienced the same things.
Hang in there. It will start getting better from here on out. Give yourself a year or so to get back to “normal”. It’s going to take that nlong, but you should start feeling better really soon.
Just sharing my thoughts. I will pray for you.
Trish
